Château Belle-Vue is now openly considered as one of Medoc’s best Crus Bourgeois and is often ranked at the same level as certain Crus Classés. Its deep gravel soil confers to it a subtle balance between finesse and strength.
- Planted acreage : 14,99 ha - 6 666 vines/ha
- Average age of vines : 39 years old.
- Cabernet sauvignon 48%, Merlot 30%, Petit verdot 20%, Cabernet franc 1%, Carménère 1%.
- High Environmental and Agricultural Certificate (H.V.E).
- Integral soil work by grass growing.
- Cold pre-ferment maceration (0 ° C) for 10 days.
- Exclusive use of release by gravity, the juice is re-sent by sprinkling on to the grappa.
- Aging : 30% in new barrels during 14 to 16 months.
- Fining with fresh egg whites.
